From busy city girl to a rustic country woman!
I’m Kiersten Schlough (pronounced “slew”), and I’m a creative person who is enthusiastic about reflecting my Creator, especially through design and photography. I love to use my design and photography skills to serve business owners, enabling them to be visually equipped in their dreams, and seeing the growth that comes throughout that process for each entrepreneur.
I grew up in the Twin Cities and fell in love with design and photography as a high school student when I took a couple of graphic design & photography classes as electives. Since then, I went from the atmosphere of living in the big cities of Minnesota to a rustic, flannel obsessed country woman in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin! I came over to Wisconsin where I got my BFA in Graphic Design (thanks Stout!) and must have fallen in love with it because I haven’t left Wisconsin since!
After experiencing many highs and lows with former employers, I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and venture out on my own because I’m able to better serve each of my clients and personally see the transformation they go through within their lives and businesses!
Lastly, when I’m not behind a computer screen or camera, I am usually found spending time with friends, meeting new people, or spending time with my husband doing some of our favorite hobbies: camping, hiking, skiing, or hunting!
Now, as a brand designer and photographer, I am obsessed with telling businesses stories through compelling visuals that depict who they are and the heart behind why they do what they do!
Why I love doing what I do
I love what I do because the work goes far beyond creating something beautiful — it transforms how a business is seen, understood, and remembered. In a digital-first world, your brand visuals are often your first introduction, and I believe that first impression should feel intentional, aligned, and true to who you are.
Every project I take on is crafted through strategy and storytelling. I’m deeply energized by rallying business owners around their ideas, helping them see new possibilities, and pushing those ideas through to completion. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching a brand come to life — not just in concept, but in how it’s used, shared, and experienced in the real world.
What brings me the most joy is knowing I’m not the hero of the story — you are. My role is to come alongside you as a guide and creative partner, helping you solve visual challenges so you can show up confidently and focus on what you do best. Seeing the entrepreneurs I work with shine through the visuals we build together is what makes this work so meaningful to me!
